Nigel Cabourn needs very little introduction, but deserves one nonetheless: having over 50 years experience designing and working in the menswear industry, with multiple decades-old brands and international stores with cult followings under his belt. His eponymous brand has a focus on practical and hard-wearing textiles from vintage workwear, producing inspired takes on classic military apparel from the last century.
The Nigel Cabourn Utility Shirt Type 2 is inspired by the US Army pull-over denim shirts of the early 1940s. In addition to sharing the metal buttons, the Type 2 shirt features distinctive side-entry front chest pockets.
Made from a 10 oz. denim, the shirt can be worn as a light jacket, alone as as shirt, or layered with other pieces. Unlike its pullover predecessor, you can easily unbutton and slip the shirt on and off (without messing up your hair).
Cut big for a relaxed fit, making it versatile for layering. Size down for a trimmer fit. Wash cold, hang dry.
