This version of the Spade Jean is produced in an 11 oz neppy 2x1 selvedge denim from Japan. It features wide placket slash front pockets, spade patch pockets on the rear, a ykk zipper and a sanded silver laurel wreath donut button closure. Felled seams are used throughout the garment for a clean finish and the selvedge is exposed on the waistband and fly. It has been produced in the Generous cut, which has a higher rise, true waist size and is baggy through the seat and thigh with a taper towards the opening. These jeans have been cut bigger and washed/ dried to shrink to their measured size: This brings out the natural hairy texture of the denim and removes the starch creating a flowy midweight jean for the warmer months.
